BS 5308 Part 1 Type 2 RP-PVC - Individual and collective screened

Application

These cables are the armoured version of type 1 and are used when the risk of mechanical damage is increased. The galvanised steel wire armour provides excellent protection. Available with individual and collective screens, these cables are widely used in the process control and the petrochemical industry together with many other commercial and industrial applications.

Construction

Plain annealed copper wire conductors to BS 6360, class 1, 2 or class 5, PE insulation, cores twisted into pairs or triples, each pair/triple foil screened with a drain wire, overall foil screen and drain wire, PE inner sheath, galvanised steel wire armour RP-PVC sheath – Black or blue.

Conductor identification

Pairs Blue and black. Pairs numbered (Alternative colour codes are also available)
Triples are produced in a variety of combinations, please check when ordering.
