BS 5308 Part 1 Type 1 RP-PVC - Collective screened

Application

Originally developed for process control and communications within the petrochemical industry this cable is now widely used in other industrial and commercial applications.

The collective screening offer excellent protection from electro magnetic interference. These cables are suitable for fixed installation when there is no risk of mechanical damage. Armoured versions are available, listed under the heading Type 2.

Construction

Plain annealed copper wire conductors to BS 6360, class 1, 2 or 5, PE insulation, laid up as cores or twisted into pairs or triples, overall foil screen and drain wire, RP-PVC sheath – black or blue.

Conductor identification

Cores 1 - 40 yellow with black numbers, 41 - 80 black with yellow numbers
Pairs are colour coded in accordance with BS 5308 part 1, click here to view
(Alternative colour codes are also available)
Triples are produced in a variety of combinations, please check when ordering.
