Industrial Ethernet Cables to IEEE 802.3

Through the use of Category 5 style cables Industrial Ethernet provides a stable platform for linking automation systems and workstations. They are also suitable for interlinking different bus protocols such as Profibus and Interbus. The use of finely stranded conductors and PUR sheathing compounds makes them ideal for constant flexing and dynamic applications.

Cable Construction

Fine stranded plain copper conductors, polypropylene insulation, cores twisted into pairs or quads and laid up, aluminium foil and tinned copper wire braid screen, PUR sheath.

Fire retardant, fire resistant, flame resistant or flame retardant?

These terms are often misunderstood. Most cables when exposed to fire will not carry on functioning. If you require cable to continue working in the event of fire, and in accordance with various standards please call us.
