BS 6724 LSHF Armoured Power Cables

Application

This cable is similar to BS 5467 but with the added advantage of Low Smoke Halogen Free properties making it ideal for use in tunnels, public buildings, airports and other applications where people and equipment are at risk in the event of fire.
     

Cable Construction

Plain copper wire conductors to BS 6360, class 2 (stranded), XLPE insulation, LSHF inner sheath, Galvanised Steel Wire Armour, LSHF sheath – Black.

Single core cables are supplied with an Aluminium Wire Armour (AWA) in accordance with BS6724.

Core Identification

Stock can be limited and minimum manufacture quantities may apply
2 Core Brown, blue
3 Core Brown, black, grey
4 Core Brown, black, grey, blue
5 Coreand above Brown, black, grey, blue, green/yellow
7 Core and above Number coded
Auxiliary type White cores with black numbers

Conductors BS6360 class 2, circular, shaped or compacted.
Temperature rating 90°C maximum conductor temperature
Bending radius (static) 1.5mm² to 16mm²: 6 x overall diameter
  25mm² and above: 8 x overall diameter
Flame retardant IEC60332 part 3A, BS4066 part 3A
Design IEC60502-1 & BS 6724
