Parallel Speaker Cable

Designed for pubs, clubs and public buildings as well as high level quality domestic installations. These parallel cables provide easy termination due to the longitudinal core identification. The high number of strands and low resistance values enable the speaker to operate at optimum level.
 

 

In recent years the term Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) has been used within the industry, however in practice the most important question to ask is the purity of the copper as this will give the lowest resistance figure. In the case of the FSC TruSound HiStrand speaker cables the copper purity is 99.9999% so can be classed as OFC.

When Low Smoke Halogen Free cables are needed the FSC TruSound LSHF versions are ideal, ensuring safety in the event of a fire.

At FSC we refer to LSHF as Low Smoke Halogen Free

This term is interchangeable with LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), OHLS (Zero Halogen Low Smoke) and FRNC (Flame Retardant Non-Corrosive). Beware of the terms LSF (Low Smoke and Fume) or RP (Reduced Propogation), when relating to signal or control cables will normally be modified PVC and produce 'Loads of Smoke and Fume'!

Fire retardant, fire resistant, flame resistant or flame retardant?

These terms are often misunderstood. Most cables when exposed to fire will not carry on functioning. If you require cable to continue working in the event of fire, and in accordance with various standards please call us.
